Life with a dog should be enjoyable, not stressful. At Ruff Diamond, I help you build calm, confident, and well-mannered dogs using kind, effective training that works in everyday life. With over 20 years’ experience and a passion for helping owners, I’ll be with you every step of the way.
What I offer
- Small, supportive classes – maximum of 4 dogs per class so you get plenty of individual attention.
- Specialist training – Talking Dogs Rally, Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards, and our Mix Up course.
- One-to-one training & behaviour support – personalised help for specific challenges such as pulling, recall, reactivity, or puppy struggles.
- Flexible online training – step by step plans, video feedback, and daily support you can access from home.
Where we train
- Classes – Walkerville Community Centre (Friday) and Monkchester Community Centre, Walker (Saturday).
- One-to-One Training – covering Newcastle, North & South Tyneside, and South Northumberland.
- Online Training – available anywhere, locally and further afield.

Meet Cris
I’ve been training dogs for over 20 years and founded Ruff Diamond Dog Training in 2009. I’m passionate about making training enjoyable and achievable for every owner, whether you’re starting with a puppy, working through adolescence, or supporting a rescue dog. At home I share life with my four dogs Cal, Rossi, Dreya, and Aldo who keep me busy with training, competing, and plenty of walks!
